Lefkada is an Ionian island connected by a bridge to the mainland, so access is easy by land. It is an island that combines fabulous beaches with a very interesting hinterland, untouched by time.

Its villages are picturesque both the seaside and the mountainous. Its mountains are tall, wild and green, as they descend either on lacy coasts, steep with blue waters, or on mild green waters.
Its history is long and impressive, the traces of which are now depicted in archaeological sites, castles, walls, monasteries, churches and museums. The past revives through festivals and other cultural events.
